Latest check in time 12:30 PM - please book in advance and it will be appreciated if you arrive on time. Booking in advance by telephone is essential as otherwise this tour may not operate.
DUE TO STAFF ILLNESS A RESTRICTED SERVICE OF TWO TOURS [11am and 1:00pm] will run for pre booked visitors. Normal times will resume on the 2nd of May.

The Cornish Heritage Collection, Scheduled Ancient Monument, Gardens and Car Park open from 10.30am when the mine and Cornish Heritage Collection are open - The Grounds close around the end time of the last tour - final admission being approximately 1 hour earlier.
REFRESHMENTS - SLICE OF CORNWALL is a great little tea room offering home made food and cakes very close to the mine at The Homestead Woodland Garden, Crelly, Trenear, Wendron. Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10 am to 4pm . Located on the B3297 about 500 yards on the right hand side as you head towards Redruth from Wendron village. GARDENS, CORNISH HERITAGE COLLECTION, SWITZERS BUTTERY & TEA ROOM*
REFRESHMENTS - CLOSED until SUMMER - Switzers Buttery is a licensed coffee & refreshment counter courtesy service to our visitors but is not a full cafe. Open in July August & September er - cafetières of exceptional quality freshly brewed roasted Colombian coffee with hot frothy locally-sourced Jersey milk & teapots [& extra hot water!] of high quality loose leaf tea with good Cornish organic local milk are available.
PICNICS IN THE GARDENS Picnics are most welcome but we would explain that the bandstand, upper lawn and our small tea room are usually 100% reserved, for those visitors who purchase our own refreshments when our tea room is open in the summer months.
If you do bring your own picnic you are welcome to sit on the bandstand [providing the tea room is closed] where there are tables, seats and chairs, or on the lower lawn, and in the woodland garden. When the refreshment counter is open we can provide hot drinks or cold ones too.
We ask all of those who take picnics to be green and take their litter home, especially any plastic items as we are a plastic-free zone. Please leave our tables clean and tidy and please do not discard any food in our bins.
